What is Web2People
We call Web2People a Startup Center and try to avoid the name "incubator" as it is not correct. Moreover, Web2People is a private company and does not belong to any of the existing venture or public funds.
Web2People is primarily an idea. The belief that with imagination, knowledge and firm intentions you can succeed! Faith in that your age, country of residence and start-up capital do not matter if you have a purpose and desire to implement your idea.
Web2People is a startup center, owned by Etera Group and located in the north of St. Petersburg. The Centre is organized at founders' own expenses and gives young businessmen and innovators opportunity to build their business without start-up capital, at the center resources and support.
Web2People is a venture company to a lesser extent, because we do not actually invest money and believe that this is the least required for all companies at the start. 
The main work for us is to help innovators to implementate their idea and transform it into the lucrative business. We have given "Web2People" name to the startup center which means "web for people" because within the center we will develop ideas that will make the Internet better for users. Some of you will find other meanings in the name.
Why we are not an incubator
Incubators usually don't have clearly stated segmentation. Part of modern incubators, including some in Russia, are aimed at working with Hi-Tech startups, including IT and web projects, but not limited by them.
Web2People is focused exclusively on projects related to the web, allowing startups to achieve maximum efficiency in this sphere.
Incubators usually indirectly or directly are related to venture funds or pools of investors, whose needs their are trying to match accepting projects to their incubators. In fact, some projects are being "searched" for the specific investor, which itself is not bad in itself, but usually severely limits the novice businessman in conditions of working and setting goals.
Web2People is not associated with any investors by any obligations and is not aiming to select a narrowly focused business, "imprisoned" under the business objectives of the third parties. That does not mean that we do not reserve the right to choose projects, moreover, it means that we need to like the project personally, which is perhaps even more difficult.
A key feature of Web2People is inside. The experts in the field of web development and web based business are working in the center, whose task, along with their own projects, includes training and assistance in developing center delegates' startups. This means that part of work related to the design and prototyping of Web services can be realized by the center staff. The founders and leaders of the center have been involved in the industry for many years and above all are directly involved in Internet businesses, rather than hi-tech investmentments.
We are not a copy of Y-Combinator and neither its official representative. But we appreciate and respect the achievements of our American colleagues and focus on their experience in our work.
